Mechanical Commissioning Specialist

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Specialist to join our MEP team in the Tampa, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote position. 

• →Provide commissioning related services for MEP engineering projects during construction phases.
• →Perform quality checks and inspections on installed systems.
• →Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot hardware, sensors, and control panels.
• →Track project progress, complete checklists, and log deficiencies or punch lists.
• →Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project managers during startup.
• →Write field reports and verify compliance with project specifications

• Relevant experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical construction
• General Knowledge of in the following disciplines HVAC, Plumbing/piping, BMS  controls & lighting systems
• Experience in computer operation and the ability to learn engineering calculation programs and computer-aided drafting/BIM software for the purpose of accessing and interpreting design requirements, is a plus.
• Documented commissioning training from a nationally recognized professional body, is a plus.. 
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Construction Management knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients
• Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic
• Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
• Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals
