Kimley-Horn's Phoenix, AZ office is seeking a Transmission Line Engineering Analyst with 2+ years of relevant experience to join our diverse and fast-paced organization! 

Responsibilities

  • →Design of high and extra-high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD. 
  • →Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation assembly drawings. 
  • →Prepare specifications and project design criteria. 
  • →Provide field support during construction. 
  • →The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients as well as provide technical leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members. 
  • →Occasional travel to client and project locations will be expected. 
  • →Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program. 
  • Or Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. 
  • Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience. 
  • 2+ years related transmission line design experience. 
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience in scheduling and budgeting. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Consulting or utility experience preferred.
