Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse

Hours: 12-hour shifts

Location: Harlingen Medical Center - Harlingen, Texas

• →Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
• →Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• →Assist with turning, positioning, and ambulating patients to prevent bedsores and promote recovery
• →Observe patients for side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to an RN or physician
• →Monitor patients for changes in condition (e.g., pain levels, skin color, or behavior)
• →Recognize early warning signs of complications and report them to an RN or physician
• →Prepare patients for tests or procedures by ensuring they understand the process and are physically ready
• →Teach patients and families about basic post-discharge care, such as wound care, medication schedules, and managing chronic conditions
• →Work under the supervision of RNs and report directly to them regarding patient care issues

1. Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. IV certification upon hire.
