Manager, Project Management

• →Directly manage, mentor, onboard, and develop a team of Project Managers.
• →Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and career development planning.
• →Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, safety, quality, and professional growth.
• →Lead recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives for the project-management team.

• Plan project-management capacity and assign Project Managers based on workload, capability, project complexity, and business priorities.
• Partner with Program Managers and functional leaders to forecast demand, address resource gaps, and resolve allocation conflicts.
• Monitor team utilization and maintain appropriate staffing levels for current and anticipated work.
• Support orderly transitions when Project Managers are assigned to, or released from, projects and programs.

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-management governance, methodologies, tools, templates, and reporting standards.
• Coach Project Managers in planning, scheduling, cost control, change management, risk management, contract administration, and client communication.
• Conduct project health checks and management reviews to verify that controls are applied consistently and effectively.
• Escalate systemic delivery risks and work with accountable leaders to implement corrective actions.

• Serve as the functional leader for Project Managers and a senior escalation point for people, capability, and resource matters.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, technical leaders, operations, finance, and clients to address delivery constraints and improve execution.
• Participate in project and portfolio reviews where management support or intervention is required.
• Support business development and proposal activities by identifying appropriate project-management resources and delivery approaches.

• Analyze delivery trends and lessons learned to improve project-management capability, efficiency, and consistency.
• Lead training, knowledge-sharing, and maturity initiatives for the project-management community.
• Promote standardization while enabling fit-for-purpose approaches based on project size, risk, and complexity.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation considered an asset.
• Minimum of 15 years of engineering, project management, and/or operations experience on transmission, substation, or distribution projects, including at least 5 years in progressively responsible people-leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing Project Managers.
• Strong knowledge of project-management governance, controls, resource planning, and delivery assurance.
• Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze delivery trends, identify systemic issues, and implement practical improvements.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, accountability, collaboration, and professional integrity.
