Lead the strategy, growth, and operational performance of Travel Leaders’ Canadian affiliate network, overseeing member services, recruitment, partner relations, marketing, and public relations. Maintain full P&L responsibility while leading business development and supporting teams to deliver exceptional member value and sustainable growth.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish annual recruitment goals, accountability measures, and incentive program.
  • Develop and implement annual recruitment campaigns and track/report results.
  • Ensure competitiveness in the Canadian marketplace.
  • Lead, coach, and develop high performers within the member services team.
  • Establish annual performance goals, accountability measures, and incentive programs aligned to organizational objectives.
  • Develop, execute, and refine annual and long-term sales strategies to drive acquisition, growth, and retention.
  • Monitor monthly performance, trends, and KPIs; adjust strategies to maximize results.
  • Oversee contract renewals and ensure alignment of Affiliate needs with organizational offerings.
  • Partner with the Events team to plan and execute Affiliate Regionals and key events.
  • Analyze market opportunities and negotiate agreements for Canadian only preferred suppliers.
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence to the executive team that could impact existing or potential agreements.
  • Meet regularly with Canadian suppliers to review progress against established targets and to propose any adjustments to the contract terms/goals as/if necessary/optional.
  • With the assistance of Revenue Management, ensure that supplier results are accurately reported monthly.
  • With the support of the accounting team, oversee the reporting and collection of all guaranteed and back end overrides from suppliers.
  • Submit quarterly and annual supplier revenue forecasting to Finance and make appropriate monthly adjustments to projections based on performance.
  • With the assistance of PR team, manage Canadian PR firm partnership.
  • When appropriate, respond in support of company objectives to press inquiries and/or requests for interviews.
  • Establish annual communication plan and provide market and/or product intelligence.
  • Maintain full P&L responsibility for Canada operations.
  • Enhance reporting, benchmarking, and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure operational excellence across all member-facing sales functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales, account management, or business development; travel industry or consortia experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic sales plans that drive growth, retention, and profitability.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L ownership, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, renewals, and long-term relationship management.
  • Highly analytical with experience leveraging reporting, benchmarking, and data insights to guide decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time  

 

                          

 

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
