Support USTA Missouri Valley's mission by promoting and driving the growth of adult team play, including but not limited to USTA Leagues.Collaborate with District and local league coordinators, as well as section field staff, to implement and expand Adult League opportunities across USTA Missouri Valley. Partner with the Manager of Adult Play to advance initiatives supporting the broader Adult Pathway, including Cardio Tennis, Red Ball, Social Play, Tournaments, and Tennis on Campus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with District and local league coordinators and field staff to evaluate market opportunities and deliver awareness, education, materials, and support to expand adult league participation.
- Promote and champion key Adult Tennis initiatives, including Tennis on Campus, Cardio Tennis, Red Ball, Social Play, and Tournaments.
- Recruit, train, and retain volunteers and providers managing adult league operations.
- Deliver ongoing training and guidance to District and local league coordinators.
- Provide instructional resources and participate in District League Captain meetings.
- Direct and support operations for League Section Championships and Invitational sites.
- Represent USTA Missouri Valley by organizing, leading, or participating in workshops, events, and meetings to strengthen local program delivery.
- Manage allocated program budgets responsibly and within established parameters.
- Foster collaborative, positive working relationships with District, Section, and National staff and volunteers.
- Prepare and submit timely reports, including event/meeting summaries, committee updates, and administrative reports as requested by leadership.
- Participate in USTA Missouri Valley Semi-Annual and Annual Meetings, staff calls, national conferences, and District meetings as assigned.
- Maintain resources, promote consistency across the section for adult team play.
- Data analytics and trends across the section regarding team play
Organizational Relationships:
- Tennis teaching professionals, facility and club directors, USTA members, Parks & Recreation leaders,service organizations, retailers, manufacturer representatives, Community Tennis Association leaders,volunteers, and District, Section, and National USTA staff.
Travel:
- Moderate travel required to attend events and meetings across the USTA Missouri Valley section.
- Demonstrated background and experience in tennis management or organized play
- Active Safe Play certification
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Proficiency with Google Workspace applications
- In-depth knowledge of USTA Rules and Regulations
- Familiarity with tournament administration platforms (e.g., Serve Tennis, TennisLink, Match App) is preferred
- Must reside within the Missouri Valley section and/or be onsite in the Prairie Village office as needed
