Veterinary Assistant

• Obtain detailed patient histories and maintain thorough medical notes
• Follow established vaccine protocols and support preventative care
• Run laboratory work and assist with diagnostic testing
• Assist with taking digital radiographs
• Provide compassionate nursing care to canine and feline patients
• Educate clients about patient care, preventative medicine, and veterinary recommendations
• Follow aseptic techniques and help maintain appropriate clinical standards
• Assist with housekeeping and help keep treatment and patient care areas clean and organized
• Collaborate with veterinarians, assistants, and technicians to provide efficient, high-quality patient care
• Utilize skills such as anesthetic monitoring and venipuncture when appropriate; experience in these areas is a plus but not required

• Excellent client service and communication skills
• The ability to work collaboratively alongside veterinary assistants, technicians, and doctors
• Prior animal handling experience preferred, especially in a veterinary clinic setting
• A passion for pets and veterinary care that shines every day
