Responsibilities

→Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
→Provide skilled surgical assistance and patient support
→Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for procedures
→Monitor patients before, during, and after treatments and procedures
→Monitor and maintain anesthetized patients with close attention to patient safety
→Perform laboratory procedures and assist with diagnostic testing
→Assist with radiology and diagnostic imaging
→Perform pharmacy duties and support accurate medication preparation and dispensing
→Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients
→Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients
→Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely medical records
→Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients
→Provide excellent customer service throughout the client experience
→Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow support team members to maintain an efficient workflow
→Help maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked patient-care areas
→Contribute to a positive, supportive, and professional hospital culture

Previous veterinary technician experience
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credentials preferred
Experience with surgical assistance
Experience with pharmacy duties
Experience performing laboratory procedures
Experience with radiology and diagnostic imaging
Experience monitoring patients and maintaining anesthetized patients
Experience maintaining accurate medical records
Strong patient-care and technical skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A caring and compassionate approach to patients and their families
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
A dependable, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude
A desire to continue learning and developing professionally
Ability to work every other Saturday as part of the set schedule
