• →Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
• →Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients
• →Obtain patient histories and vital signs
• →Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments
• →Assist with diagnostic testing and laboratory procedures
• →Collect blood and other diagnostic samples as appropriate to your experience and training
• →Assist with venipuncture and IV catheter placement as appropriate to your skills and role
• →Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• →Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
• →Assist with anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery as appropriate to your experience and training
• →Provide attentive nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients
• →Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records
• →Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
• →Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations
• →Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and hospital workspaces clean, organized, and well stocked
• →Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other hospital team members
• →Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through on tasks
• →Support teammates and help maintain an efficient hospital workflow
• →Contribute to a positive experience for every patient and client

• Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is preferred
• Hands-on experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinical environment
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills
• A passion for pets and high-quality veterinary care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and empathy for patients, clients, coworkers, and yourself
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and remain productive in a busy veterinary environment
