Transportation Design Intern- Fall 2027

VHB is hiring Transportation Design Interns to join our team in Atlanta, GA for the Fall 2027 semester. This position would be full-time (40 hrs./week).

• →Effectively interact with numerous VHB staff to advance projects in a timely manner
• →Assist with engineering calculations, analysis and report preparation
• →Field investigation, data collection, survey quality review
• →Assist with completion of preliminary and final construction plans
• →Quantity take-offs and calculations

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and interact appropriately and positively with clients
• Self-motivated with attention to detail

• Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering
• Interest in transportation design and/or traffic engineering

VHB does not provide housing for internships.

The hourly pay range for this position, located in Georgia, is $19 to $30. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted hourly range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.
