H&S Technical Content Developer

We're looking for someone with strong occupational Health & Safety expertise who can turn complex legislation, regulations and industry guidance into engaging, accessible learning experiences. You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining content across our market-leading courses and qualifications, ensuring everything we produce is accurate, up to date, commercially relevant, and genuinely valuable to learners.

• →Supporting course updates and accreditation changes, including syllabus revisions from awarding bodies such as NEBOSH.
• →Researching, writing and reviewing learning content across a range of formats, translating complex Health & Safety information into engaging learning experiences.
• →Acting as a subject matter expert, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency across our products.
• →Collaborating with trainers, designers and operational teams to develop and enhance learning materials.
• →Quality assuring content, ensuring it meets instructional design, brand and plain-English standards.
• →Maintaining compliance and accuracy by keeping content aligned with current legislation, guidance and syllabus requirements.
• →Keeping your industry knowledge up to date through ongoing professional development.

You'll help shape the courses and qualifications that support learners throughout their careers, influencing how Health & Safety knowledge is applied in workplaces across a wide range of industries. You'll also enjoy plenty of variety in this role. One day you could be reviewing the latest regulatory changes, the next you'll be helping to develop content for a new qualification or refining learning materials for different audiences and delivery formats.

 

 

Regulations, guidance and qualification requirements continue to evolve, so you'll need to stay informed and ensure our learning content remains accurate, relevant and compliant.

 

You'll also balance multiple projects and deadlines, often working across different products and priorities at the same time.

• A NEBOSH National General Certificate or other NEBOSH Certificate-level qualification.

• Experience creating learning content, including structuring content, defining learning outcomes and developing assessment activities. 

• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and other digital content authoring tools.

• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly for a diverse audience.

• Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.

• Additional Health & Safety or environmental qualifications, including higher-level diplomas.

• Experience in teaching, tutoring, or instructional coaching.

• An understanding of digital accessibility principles, such as WCAG standards and inclusive learning design.

• Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and associated standards such as SCORM or xAPI.

• Working knowledge of basic web technologies (HTML/CSS) or AI-assisted content tools such as Copilot.
