Senior Finance Business Analyst (Safeguarding, Treasury & Accounting)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Analyst to support a high-profile regulatory programme focused on the implementation of the FCA Cryptoasset Regime. Working across Finance, Treasury, Product, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Technology, you will play a key role in translating regulatory requirements into practical operating models, controls, processes and technology solutions.

This role will focus on the design and implementation of frameworks required under CASS 17, including cryptoasset safeguarding, reconciliation, record keeping, governance and financial control processes.

   Gather, analyse and document business, regulatory and operational requirements relating to the FCA Cryptoasset Regime.

2. →

   Translate CASS 17 safeguarding requirements into detailed business processes, controls and operating procedures.

3. →

   Conduct current-state and target-state assessments across Finance, Treasury and Accounting functions.

4. →

   Define reconciliation, record-keeping and client asset safeguarding requirements for cryptoasset activities.

5. →

   Support impact assessments across people, process, data, controls and technology.

6. →

   Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Operations, Compliance, Product and Technology.

7. →

   Produce business requirements, process maps, user stories and functional specifications.

8. →

   Partner with SMEs to design governance, oversight and control frameworks.

9. →

   Identify regulatory, operational and financial risks and support remediation planning.

10. →

    Ensure alignment between regulatory obligations, operating model design and technology delivery.

11. →

    Support programme governance, reporting and stakeholder communications.

1. Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within Financial Services.

2. Strong understanding of Finance, Treasury and Accounting processes.

3. Proven experience delivering regulatory change programmes.

4. Experience gathering requirements and producing high-quality BA artefacts.

5. Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions.

6. Strong process mapping, gap analysis and operating model design experience.

7. Experience working on complex cross-functional transformation programmes.

1. Knowledge of FCA regulations and regulatory change delivery.

2. Experience working within Client Assets (CASS), Safeguarding or Asset Protection frameworks.

3. Exposure to cryptoassets, digital assets, custody or exchange businesses.

4. Treasury controls, reconciliations, ledger accounting and financial reporting experience.

5. Experience supporting FCA authorisation, regulatory applications or compliance programmes.

6. Knowledge of governance, risk and control frameworks.

Ideal Background

Candidates are likely to come from organisations such as banks, fintechs, payment firms, crypto platforms, custodians, wealth managers or regulatory consulting environments where they have delivered regulatory change initiatives impacting Finance, Treasury, Client Assets, Safeguarding or Risk functions.

This is a FTC/Contract position located in London with hybrid working. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
