Officer, Quality Assurance - India

Overview

ROLE AT A GLANCE: 

Officer Quality Assures In this role, you will be responsible for managing quality activities across incoming quality, ensuring products are receiving compliance with regulatory requirements and the highest quality standards and validation.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

• Monitoring of vendor process on set frequencies to ascertain compliance to Herbalife Quality procedure requirements.
• Communicate with Vendor/CM on regular basis for any applicable changes in product process impacting quality.
• Coordinate with Vendor for Rejection / complaint handling and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective actions Preventive Actions (CAPA)
• Support Vendor in Troubleshooting with respect to raw materials, packing materials and process quality challenges and drive improvements against the faced challenges at contract manufacturing site and work on defect free supply at Herbalife WH or CM locations.
• Collate information for regular MIS and share periodic reports with team based on the requirements defined
• Participation in cross functional improvement projects and meetings and conferences as per defined responsibilities
• Testing of RM, PM and participate in OOS investigation.
• Projects: Continual Improvement projects for Vendor Quality Assurance and control 

TEAM DYNAMICS:

• Partner with Manufacturing, Sourcing, R&D, Technical Centers, Regulatory, Marketing, Global Sourcing, and contract manufacturers to address quality related requirements throughout manufacturing of product.
• Provide technical support product risks, design considerations, quality expectations, and potential trade-offs to enable sound cross-functional decisions.
• Drive alignment and consensus across functions on product design, risk management, quality, cost, and commercialization priorities, balancing business needs with technical and compliance requirements.

LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Coordinated with various cross functional team including vendors .

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS: 

Education 

• Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Pharmacy/B.Pharm, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

• 1-2 years
• Proven experience managing HACCP systems and food safety programs.
• Demonstrated success driving compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Understanding of quality management system (QMS) and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of food ingredients, nutrient function, product calculations, and data analysis.

Skills/Certifications 

• Knowledge of applicable food and product regulations and policies, including labeling, process, and product relationships; familiarity with regulatory standards and requirements relevant to nutritional products, including infant formula where applicable.
• Significant experience within food manufacturing, regulated environments or quality leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success driving compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to write concise technical documentation and communicate effectively with global, cross-cultural stakeholders.
