Position: Finance Intern (Summer 2027)
Location: Valencia, CASchedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, May to August 2027
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operational accounting and finance within a world-renowned, publicly traded aerospace manufacturing company. Under mentorship the intern will gain exposure to both general and manufacturing-specific financial practices, contributing to meaningful projects and learning industry standards.
Responsibilities
~1 min read• Assist the Accounting/Finance team with daily operational activities• Review and update current standard operating procedures• Gain an understanding of ITT’s SOX policies and procedures• Maintain and file documents in accordance with ITT’s retention policy• Support resolution of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) items• Participate in inventory audits and cost analysis
Requirements
~1 min read• Currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance undergraduate program (BS), in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher) and has completed their Junior year• Knowledge and understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting regulations• Solid grasp of accrual accounting principles• Familiarity with accounting information systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
