We are currently looking for a Sea Operations Executive to join our Puebla office. This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment while delivering outstanding service to customers around the world.
As a Sea Operations Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing international ocean freight shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and an outstanding customer experience.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Coordinate and manage international ocean import and export shipments.
- →Provide excellent customer service by maintaining close communication with customers regarding the status of their shipments.
- →Maintain frequent communication with overseas offices and international agents to ensure smooth shipment coordination.
- →Request and monitor shipment status with shipping lines, warehouses, and logistics partners.
- →Coordinate with customs brokers to support customs clearance processes.
- →Review, process, and manage shipping documentation related to ocean freight operations.
- →Update shipment milestones, including ETA, ETD, ATA, and ATD, within CargoWise.
- →Prepare cost estimations and issue customer invoices through CargoWise.
- →Process, upload, and approve supplier invoices using the corresponding internal systems.
- →Follow up with suppliers to obtain pending invoices and supporting documentation.
- →Perform required ocean freight transmissions through Validacarga.
- →Maintain accurate shipment files and operational records.
- →Ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements.
- →Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and international partners.
- →Identify operational issues and provide timely solutions to ensure service excellence.
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum 2 years of experience in Ocean Freight Operations within a Freight Forwarder environment.
- Experience handling ocean import and/or export shipments.
- Knowledge of international logistics and freight forwarding operations.
- Experience coordinating with shipping lines, customs brokers, warehouses, and overseas agents.
- Experience using CargoWise or similar freight forwarding software.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken).
