The Data Center Inbound International Logistics Specialist owns end-to-end international transportation execution for critical data center shipments, coordinating global movements from origin suppliers—specifically overseas suppliers (including China) and Carrier’s Mexico factory—through final delivery to warehouses and jobsites across the US and Canada.
This role is responsible for ocean, air, and over-the-road freight execution, network capacity planning, shipment visibility, and timely issue resolution to protect customer commitments as data center volume and complexity grow exponentially.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →International Freight Execution: Manage operational execution for ocean, air, and truck freight from global supply locations (China, Mexico) through final delivery in the US and Canada. Oversized shipment experience strongly recommended.
- →Capacity & Partner Management: Coordinate directly with ocean carriers, booking agents, freight forwarders, truckers, customs brokers, and 3PL warehouses. Actively manage ocean allocations—scaling up during peak periods and adjusting during lower-volume cycles.
- →Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary international logistics point of contact for Customer Service, SIOP, Sales, Procurement, Freight Accounting, Engineering, Finance, and project teams.
- →Performance & Continuous Improvement: Support network initiatives, process standardization, supplier performance gap analyses, and cost/budget optimization while ensuring tracking accuracy and proactive exception management.
- →Global Support: Flexible to handle after-hours calls with overseas suppliers as required by global time zones.

Requirements

- 7+ years of prior logistics/transportation experience OR Master’s degree with 5+ years of prior logistics/transportation experience
