The Biology Department at Carthage College invites applications for a non-tenure track, Assistant Professor of Biology position for a 1-year contract with the potential for renewal. The successful candidate will teach lecture and lab courses in Anatomy and Physiology for nursing and pre-health students as well as other introductory and upper-level biology courses as needed.

Applicants are required to have a M.S. in Biology or closely related discipline and a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.; Ph.D. is preferred.

The expected teaching load is 32 credits per year. The position will begin on August 16, 2026. More information about our department may be found at http://www.carthage.edu/biology/.
