Bookkeeper / Accounting in Retirement Home

This position will be primarily responsible for processing biweekly payroll, payables and receivables and other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Candidates for the role must have a diploma in bookkeeping, accounting or a relevant designation, along with three or more years of Full Cycle Bookkeeping experience.
2. The candidate must also have experience with payroll administration and GST/HST return preparation.
3. Must be computer literate through past experience or training with formal training on accounting related programs.
4. Use of a variety of computer programs: Microsoft Suite. Sector specific program knowledge such as PointClickCare, and Quickbooks online software will be an asset.
5. Good written and oral communication skills.
6. Good leadership, motivational and time management skills.
7. Previous experience in the health care sector an asset.
8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
9. Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks.
10. Innovation and experience in quality improvement practices.
11. Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and human relations skills.
