The Clinical Compliance Assistant is responsible for supporting the clinical compliance team by maintaining accurate caregiver supervision records within HHA Exchange (HHAX). This role ensures that completed nursing supervisory visits are properly documented, caregiver compliance profiles are kept up to date, and all required supervision forms are uploaded to personnel files in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with healthcare documentation and electronic systems.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Run reports in HHA Exchange (HHAX) to identify completed nursing supervisory visits.
- →Review completed nurse visit records and locate the corresponding supervision forms.
- →Determine the home health aide (HHA) who was supervised during each visit.
- →Update caregiver compliance profiles in HHAX to reflect completed supervisory visits.
- →Upload supervision forms to the appropriate caregiver personnel files, ensuring documentation is complete and accurately filed.
- →Verify documentation for accuracy and completeness, following company policies and regulatory requirements.
- →Maintain organized electronic records while ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- →Communicate with clinical staff when documentation is incomplete or requires clarification.
- →Assist with audits and other compliance-related administrative tasks as assigned.
- →Support the Clinical Compliance team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance records.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or healthcare-related education preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare administration, home health, compliance, or medical records preferred.
- Experience using HHA Exchange (HHAX) is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to review documentation accurately and maintain confidential records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards is a plus.
You will need to have some essential tools – a reliable computer and noise-cancelling headset, a second monitor for enhanced productivity, and a stable internet connection. You’ll also be required to have a backup internet connection, ensuring that you’re well-equipped to complete your work seamlessly.
Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.
