St Mary MacKillop College is Canberra’s largest secondary school, operating across two campuses: Years 7 to 9 at our Padua Campus in Wanniassa, and Years 10 to 12 at our St Peter’s Campus in Isabella Plains. As part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL), we are connected to a wider network of 56 Catholic schools and nine Early Learning Centres across the region. The Assistant Principal Faith, Teaching and Learning is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic leadership across faith, teaching and learning, inclusive education and professional development. Working in close partnership with other members of the College Executive, the role leads whole-school teaching and learning priorities aligned with the College Strategic Plan, Annual Improvement Plan and Archdiocesan priorities, while strengthening pedagogical practices, staff capability and student outcomes. The Assistant Principal Faith, Teaching and Learning also leads inclusive education digital learning and innovation, and leads initiatives that promote a culture of continuous improvement along with the Vision and Josephite charism of St Mary MacKillop College.

• Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching 
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People clearance (WWVP) 
• ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration  
• Postgraduate qualification in Religious Education or Theological Studies 
• Academic qualifications additional to Initial Teacher Education (Master’s Degree or five-year equivalent) 
• Practicing Catholic connected to a parish or other worshipping community 
• Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest
