Are you passionate about helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness find a path toward stable housing? Catholic Charities is looking for a Coordinated Entry System (CES) Navigator to connect people with housing and community resources while strengthening partnerships throughout Southeast Kansas.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working directly with people, building community partnerships, and bringing organizations together to solve problems.

What You Will Do:

Engage individuals and families experiencing homelessness and connect them to the Coordinated Entry System.
Complete intake, assessments, referrals, and required documentation.
Connect participants with housing, healthcare, mental health services, benefits, and other community resources.
Coordinate with housing and service providers throughout Southeast Kansas.
Lead case conferencing meetings and participate in regional planning efforts.
Help ensure people with the greatest needs are prioritized for available housing opportunities.
Build relationships with landlords and community partners to expand housing opportunities.
Maintain accurate and timely participant data and documentation.
Participate in community outreach and activities such as the Point-in-Time Count as needed.

What You Will Need to Bring to the Table:

Bachelor's degree in human services or relevant experience in social work or a related field.
At least two years of professional experience in housing, social work, employment services, human services, or a related field preferred.
Experience working with individuals and families facing economic hardship or other barriers.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Class C driver's license, reliable vehicle, and automobile insurance.
Ability to successfully complete required background screening.

EXPOSURES: Controlled inside work environment with noise/vibrations from general office equipment. Minimal exposure to fumes/dust/odors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work Type: Light, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Climbing/Balancing/Freedom to Move: May be assigned to multilevel building with some floors accessible by stairs only. Minimal required to move about office. Sit about 85 percent of time.
Stooping/Bending: Minimal.
Reaching: Occasional, overhead as well as horizontal and down.
Vision: Adequate to perform essential functions.
Sitting: Up to two hours without a break (at desk, in a car).
Color vision: No particular color vision requirement.
