C-Care Mauritius is currently looking for a Technical Engineer.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating the maintenance and operation of the hospital’s building services, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, and other critical infrastructure systems. The Engineer will ensure compliance with safety regulations, healthcare standards, and preventive maintenance programs while leading technical projects, managing contractors, and optimizing facility performance to support safe and uninterrupted patient care.

What you will be doing:
  • Provide technical support for installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of engineering solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (maintenance, operations, production, IT, etc.) to improve processes.
  • Support project execution, including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Provide training and guidance to technicians.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance engineering, or hospital/healthcare engineering environment.
  • Sound knowledge of building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gases, fire protection, and backup power systems.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, building codes, and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning, contractor management, and project supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to technical emergencies in a healthcare environment.
