With 36 holes of championship golf and a nationally recognized retail operation, we are committed to delivering an exceptional member experience at every touchpoint.
The Assistant Director of Golf Retail plays a key role in executing a best-in-class retail operation. This position partners closely with the Director of Retail to bring strategy to life, balancing exceptional member service with strong merchandising and operational execution.
This is a hands-on role, supporting inventory management, buying strategies, visual presentation, and retail events.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Deliver world-class service through meaningful interactions with members and guests
- →Create and uphold visually compelling, "best of the best" retail displays
- →Utilize the Jonas POS system to manage SKUs, pricing, and merchandise receiving
- →Keep stockrooms organized, efficient, and operationally strong
- →Manage the full special-order process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication
- →Partner with the Director of Retail on product assortment and buying strategies
- →Monitor inventory levels and execute reorders to maintain proper stock levels
- →Take ownership of returns and defective merchandise processes
- →Support retail strategy execution across Golf, Tennis, and Aquatics retail areas
- →Assist in planning, promoting, and executing Golf Shop events and tournaments
- →Analyze sales trends to optimize inventory mix and turnover
- →Build strong, professional relationships with members, team members, and vendor partners
- →Support day-to-day operations at the sales counter as needed
- →Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- 2+ years of merchandising or retail experience
- Private club experience preferred, but not required
- A passion for retail and delivering an elevated customer experience
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
- A team-first mindset with strong communication skills
- A proactive, "can-do" approach with a sense of ownership
