LPN Ambulatory - Cosmetic Services

As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. As part of the Landerbrook Cosmetic Services team, this role will be supporting practices in Cosmetic Dermatology, Plastic Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery (ENT).  In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system.  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Work alongside Plastic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery (ENT), and Cosmetic Dermatology providers.
• Scribe during office visits to support providers and ensure accurate clinical documentation.
• Assist with outpatient surgical care.
• Prepare and assist during local office procedures.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education.
• Build long term relationships with patients throughout their surgical journey.
• Develop specialized skills in a fast paced procedural environment.
• Work as part of a small, collaborative clinical team.
• Occasionally float to other Cleveland Clinic ambulatory locations to support operational needs.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing  

• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) 

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)  

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

• One year of patient care experience  

• Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
