GROUP HOME-RESIDENCE COUNSELOR

Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a Full-Time Residence Counselor to join our residential services team in Vineland, NJ.

If you have group home experience and are passionate about supporting individuals living with mental health challenges, this role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day. You'll work directly with residents in a supportive, recovery-focused environment while helping individuals develop daily living skills, personal goals, and greater independence.

As a Residence Counselor, you'll provide hands-on support that helps residents thrive in a structured and supportive living environment.

Responsibilities include:

• →Assisting residents with daily living skills and personal goals
• →Providing emotional support and encouragement
• →Supporting individualized service and treatment plans
• →Facilitating recreational and skill-building activities
• →Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
• →Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation
• →Supporting a safe, structured, and recovery-focused environment

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum four years of group home experience
• Valid New Jersey driver's license with acceptable driving history

• Behavioral health or residential services experience
• Experience working with adults with mental health needs
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
