Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a Fee-for-Service Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)/ Outpatient Therapist to provide high-quality mental health counseling, behavioral health treatment, and substance use disorder services within our Outpatient Department.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced LCSW, LPC, Outpatient Therapist, Mental Health Therapist, Behavioral Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Psychotherapist who is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate mental health, substance use, and co-occurring challenges. You'll work within a collaborative, recovery-focused environment while maintaining flexibility and autonomy in your clinical practice.

Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Outpatient Therapist, you will provide behavioral health assessment, psychotherapy, counseling, and treatment services for individuals and families receiving outpatient mental health and substance use treatment.
- →Conduct comprehensive behavioral health and mental health assessments
- →Provide individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy
- →Develop and implement recovery-oriented treatment plans
- →Treat individuals experiencing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions
- →Support clients in achieving treatment goals, emotional wellness, and long-term recovery
- →Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
- →Provide both telehealth and in-person outpatient counseling services
- →Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, case managers, and other behavioral health professionals
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience as an Outpatient Therapist, Behavioral Health Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, or Clinical Social Worker
- Experience in community mental health settings
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care
- Experience working with substance use disorders and dual-diagnosis populations
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Master's Degree in Social Work or another mental health-related discipline
- Current New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) License or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) License
- Experience providing:
- Individual Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Group Therapy
- Experience treating mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapy skills
- Ability to provide both telehealth and in-person counseling services
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with acceptable driving history
