Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Operate X-ray equipment to capture detailed images of various body parts for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for X-ray procedures by explaining the process, obtaining medical histories, and addressing any concerns.
- Position patients accurately on the X-ray table or in appropriate positions to ensure optimal imaging of the targeted area.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, including proper use of lead shielding and minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Adjust X-ray machine settings such as exposure parameters and image quality controls based on the specific diagnostic requirements.
- Monitor and assess the quality of X-ray images, making necessary adjustments to ensure clarity and diagnostic value.
- Identify and correct imaging artifacts or distortions to produce clear, usable images.
- Continuously monitor patients during the X-ray procedure for signs of discomfort or adverse reactions and provide support as needed.
- Administer and manage contrast agents if required for specific imaging studies, following safety and procedural protocols.
- Accurately document all imaging procedures, patient interactions, and any incidents or anomalies encountered during the procedure.
- Work closely with radiologists to review imaging requirements, discuss findings, and provide additional imaging as requested.

- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year AMA-approved college or technical school.
- Valid state licensure as a radiologic technologist.
- Must have or work towards certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Current with continuing education requirements to maintain ARRT certification.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
