Nashua Community College is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required. Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction
- Introduction to Addiction Recovery Support Work: Hybrid evening course
This course is designed to introduce students to the guiding principles of addiction recovery support. Students will learn about the four domains of recovery support (Ethical Responsibility, Advocacy, Mentoring & Education, Recovery & Wellness Support) and the twelve core functions of alcohol and drug abuse counselors (screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, reports and record keeping and consultation).
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are Master's degree in Human Services, Psychology, or Human Development, and three years’ experience working in the recovery field. The salary range for this position is per $825-$975 per contact hour. The rate will be determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience. All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of the required background check.
