 Position Summary
The Repair Depot Working Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for the day-to-day execution and oversight of repair, refurbishment, and reverse-logistics activities within the ALP repair depot. This role works directly alongside technicians while also supervising workflow, quality, inventory handling, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
The ideal candidate is a working leader-comfortable performing repairs and diagnostics--while also managing priorities, coaching technicians, and ensuring operational targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Execution (Hands-On)
  • Perform repair, refurbishment, and functional testing of equipment in accordance with SOPs and OEM standards
  • Troubleshoot failed units and determine refurb vs scrap disposition
  • Process RMAs, DOA returns, and core returns accurately and timely
  • Support teardown, parts harvesting, and material recovery activities
  • Ensure proper staging, labeling, and movement of inventory within the depot

Supervision & Daily Leadership
  • Lead and support a team of repair technicians through daily workload execution
  • Assign work, balance queues, and manage WIP to meet turnaround time targets
  • Provide on-the-floor coaching, training, and quality feedback
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for repair issues, quality concerns, or process gaps
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and inventory control procedures

Inventory & Process Control
  • Ensure accurate consumption, tracking, and return of parts in the ERP system
  • Partner with Inventory Control on cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution
  • Enforce core return, DOA handling, and non-repairable disposition processes
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend continuous improvements

Performance & Communication
  • Track daily throughput, backlog, and aging work
  • Communicate status, risks, and needs
  • Support KPI reporting related to turnaround time, quality, recovery value, and labor efficiency
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new depot personnel
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in repair, refurbishment, manufacturing, or technical service operations
  • Prior experience leading or supervising technicians in a hands-on environment
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with inventory systems, RMAs, and reverse logistics processes

Preferred:
  • Experience with ATM, SmartSafes, or similar electromechanical equipment
  • ERP experience (Oracle Fusion preferred)
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement exposure
