Responsibilities

  • →Operate the Computer Numerically Controlled Machine
  • →Perform set-ups on the machine according to the production schedule
  • →Perform visual and gauging inspections
  • →Perform preventative maintenance as required
  • →Troubleshoot as required
  • →Complete all associated paperwork, including but not limited to, quality plans and cleaning plans
  • →Operate multiple asset production cell
  • →Work in safe manner, follow all rules, regulations, and legislation
  • →Follow Lean Manufacturing guidelines

Requirements

  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • Fitness-to-work testing
  • Background check

  • 2 years’ experience in a CNC Operator Advanced role required
  • Mathematical aptitude required (equations, trigonometry, geometry)
  • Must be able to read blueprints and drawings
  • Must be able to read and understand basic programming
  • Working knowledge of G & M codes required
  • Experience with Okuma, HAAS, Fanuc controls required
  • Understanding and working knowledge of measuring equipment is required
  • Organized, flexible and able to multi-task
  • Strong verbal communicational skills
  • Reliable
  • High attention to detail

  • CNC Basic certificate and/or CNC turning center certificate preferred
  • Knowledge of dual spindle and indexing chuck operations is preferred
  • Familiarity of API threads an asset

  • Working at the Edmonton manufacturing facility
  • Permanent
  • Full-time
  • Rotating shift between day, afternoon and night
  • Weekend and overtime may be required dependent on business conditions

  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours/day
