Charles Ross & Son Company, a leader in the design and manufacture of industrial mixing and blending equipment, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented full-time Mechanic/Assembler to join our growing team.
In this position, you will construct, assemble, and test industrial equipment and components using a variety of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality, and the ability to perform work accurately while maintaining close attention to detail.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Review, analyze, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
- →Assemble mechanical components, parts, and finished equipment according to specifications.
- →Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure assembled products meet required specifications and quality standards.
- →Identify product defects and assembly issues and document and report them as necessary.
- →Repair and adjust components and equipment to accommodate specification changes and resolve assembly problems.
- →Perform preventative maintenance and routine checks on equipment and tools to ensure proper operation.
- →Complete required quality, production, and other documentation accurately.
- →Monitor and maintain necessary materials and supplies at the workstation.
- →Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- →Travel as needed to customer locations to service and support equipment in the field.
- →Perform all work in accordance with established quality and safety standards and procedures.
Requirements
~1 min read- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, hand-drawn sketches, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Must possess basic personal tools, including wrenches, sockets, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
- Ability to accurately work with fractional and decimal measurements and perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to perform visual inspections of parts and assemblies.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments to accurately inspect dimensions.
- Welding experience with steel and stainless steel is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and assembly-related issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade school certification or an Associate's degree is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment preferred.
