Mechanic/Assembler

Charles Ross & Son Company, a leader in the design and manufacture of industrial mixing and blending equipment, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented full-time Mechanic/Assembler to join our growing team.

In this position, you will construct, assemble, and test industrial equipment and components using a variety of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality, and the ability to perform work accurately while maintaining close attention to detail.

• →Review, analyze, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
• →Assemble mechanical components, parts, and finished equipment according to specifications.
• →Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure assembled products meet required specifications and quality standards.
• →Identify product defects and assembly issues and document and report them as necessary.
• →Repair and adjust components and equipment to accommodate specification changes and resolve assembly problems.
• →Perform preventative maintenance and routine checks on equipment and tools to ensure proper operation.
• →Complete required quality, production, and other documentation accurately.
• →Monitor and maintain necessary materials and supplies at the workstation.
• →Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• →Travel as needed to customer locations to service and support equipment in the field.
• →Perform all work in accordance with established quality and safety standards and procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, hand-drawn sketches, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Must possess basic personal tools, including wrenches, sockets, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
• Ability to accurately work with fractional and decimal measurements and perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to perform visual inspections of parts and assemblies.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments to accurately inspect dimensions.
• Welding experience with steel and stainless steel is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and assembly-related issues.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school certification or an Associate's degree is a plus.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment preferred.
