Registered Practical Nurse, Perioperative Service – Permanent Casual

In keeping with the mission statement of the hospital and functioning as a member of the health care team, the Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for assessing, implementing and evaluating nursing care for individual patients/families.

• →Effectively uses the nursing process.
• →Practices according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital, and the patient service unit.
• →Provides appropriate learning experiences for the patient and family to promote or maintain wellness, and to achieve an optimal quality of life.
• →Is accountable for maintaining competence while developing the quality of his/her professional nursing practice.

• Minimum three (3) years paediatric experience (Essential)
• Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
• Current CPR Certification (Essential)
• Demonstrated professionalism and interest in self-development (Essential)
• Excellent interpersonal & organizational skills (Essential)
• Vulnerable Sector Check (Level 3) (Essential)
• Bilingualism (French and English) (Preferred)
