Child Activities Assistant $16–$17/HR

Description

• →Welcome children and help them feel comfortable, excited, and included.
• →Provide attentive supervision while maintaining a safe and engaging environment.
• →Lead games, arts & crafts, storytelling, and other age-appropriate activities.
• →Assist with monthly themes and creative programming.
• →Communicate with parents regarding their child's needs and experience.
• →Follow secure child check-in and check-out procedures.
• →Help children navigate conflicts and communicate behavioral concerns appropriately.
• →Provide snacks and meals while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
• →Keep the Child Activity Center clean, organized, stocked, and ready for fun.
• →Assist with reservations, appropriate child-to-staff ratios, member billing, and reporting.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of childcare experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A friendly, energetic, patient, and service-oriented personality.
• Someone who naturally connects with children, parents, and families.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Dependability and a team-first attitude.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or the ability to become certified.

Our Child Activity Center is open seven days a week. Current ideal availability includes:

• Thursday: 4:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
• Friday: 4:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
