CNC Machinist 1st shift

Job Summary We’re looking for a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and adjust CNC machining equipment used to repair and manufacture aerospace components. This role performs precision machining operations, interprets technical drawings and process documentation, and ensures finished parts meet dimensional, quality, and customer requirements. What you do here has real-world impact—every day.   Shift: 1st shift Monday-Friday 6:30a-3:00p   What You’ll Be Doing Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and other CNC machining equipment to repair, modify, and manufacture aerospace components. Perform precision machining operations in accordance with engineering drawings, process travelers, specifications, and work instructions. Make machine offsets, tooling adjustments, and program edits as needed to maintain quality and productivity. Cross-train on manual machining equipment, including VTLs, lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, Bridgeports, jig borers, and Prototrack equipment, as business needs require.   What We’re Looking For High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience setting up and operating CNC machine tools and performing precision machining operations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, process travelers, and technical specifications. Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments and dimensional inspection techniques. Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation. Experience with manual machining equipment is a plus. Willingness to learn and cross-train on manual machining operations.   Nice to Have Experience with both CNC and manual machining operations. Experience operating manual VTLs in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment. Aerospace, MRO, or component repair experience. Experience with grinding, jig boring, Bridgeport milling, or Prototrack equipment.   Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing environment with exposure to machining equipment, metalworking operations, and industrial production activities. Regular standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and handling materials throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs from floor to waist and up to 25 lbs from waist to shoulder level. Ability to pull up to 40 lbs. Frequent use of measuring instruments, hand tools, and machine controls. Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
