Inspection - QC Inspector 2nd shift

Job Summary We're looking for a Quality Control Inspector to help ensure aerospace components meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards throughout the manufacturing and repair process. In this role, you'll perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections, review documentation for compliance, identify nonconformances, and support continuous improvement efforts that drive product quality and delivery performance.   Work That Matters At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. What you do here has real-world impact—every day.   Shift: 2nd shift Monday-Friday 3:00p-11:30p Shift Differential: $2   What You’ll Be Doing Perform receiving, in-process, outsourcing, and final inspections on aerospace components. Review customer specifications, contract requirements, work instructions, and technical documentation to ensure compliance. Verify part counts, serial numbers, lot control, and product traceability throughout the manufacturing process. Conduct visual inspections and perform dimensional checks using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Identify, document, and help resolve nonconforming conditions and quality discrepancies. Review certifications and documentation from suppliers and outside processing vendors. Audit manufacturing documentation and routing instructions to verify completion of required operations. Support production teams by troubleshooting quality concerns and recommending corrective actions. Package and certify completed products in accordance with customer and company requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, repeatability, mistake-proofing, and process efficiency.   What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED. Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and interpreting technical documentation. 1+ years of quality inspection, manufacturing quality, or related experience. Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and similar inspection equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability.   Nice to Have Aerospace manufacturing, repair, or MRO experience. Experience working within AS9100, FAA, or other regulated manufacturing environments. Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience. Experience reviewing certifications, traceability records, and quality documentation.   Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment and moving machinery. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of hands for inspection activities. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequent use of visual inspection techniques and precision measuring equipment. Ability to read, analyze, document, and communicate quality-related information.
