Shipping and Receiving - Inventory Clerk 1st shift

Job Summary We're looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the movement of materials, parts, and finished products throughout our aerospace manufacturing operation. In this role, you'll receive incoming shipments, prepare outbound orders, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure products are shipped safely, accurately, and on time. You'll play a critical role in supporting production schedules and customer deliveries.   Work That Matters At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. What you do here has real-world impact—every day.   Shift: 1st shift Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30p   What You’ll Be Doing Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documents. Accurately count, weigh, and record incoming and outgoing materials. Prepare products for shipment, including packaging, labeling, crating, and documentation. Determine appropriate shipping methods to meet delivery requirements. Process shipments using carrier systems and shipping software. Route materials and products to the appropriate departments and work centers. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Investigate and document shipping discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials. Monitor inventory of shipping supplies and packaging materials to support production needs. Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment. Load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility. Support the handling and transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with established safety and regulatory requirements. Perform data entry and maintain records using systems such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.   What We’re Looking For High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions. 1-3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience. Experience working with shipping documentation, inventory records, and receiving processes. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with production, quality, and customer support teams. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.   Nice to Have Experience with FedEx, UPS, or other carrier shipping software. Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience. Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments. Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping compliance requirements. Experience handling hazardous materials or regulated shipments   Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing and warehouse environment with frequent movement throughout the facility. Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials and shipping containers. Frequent use of packaging tools and material handling equipment. Ability to safely lift and move materials and products as required. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Exposure to shipping, receiving, warehouse, and production areas. Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
