✓Performs data entry and spatial updates for infrastructure networks based on engineering as-built drawings, field observations, aerial photographs, and existing maps
✓Ensures data integrity and synchronization between GIS feature classes and the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system using established tools and workflows.
✓Identifies and resolves utility network errors, adhering to industry standards and best practices, to ensure proper topological rules.
✓Prepares professional maps, figures, statistics, and other data for official reports, projects, and public presentations in a timely manner
✓Supports and collaborates with department staff and external contractors on field data collection projects, including map and survey design, leveraging ArcGIS field applications.
✓Assists in the development and maintenance of GIS web applications to enhance data accessibility for internal and external stakeholders.
✓Creates and maintains clear, comprehensive documentation for GIS projects, workflows, and data standards.
✓Provides technical assistance and training to department staff on the use of GIS applications and data.
✓Familiarity with basic GIS principles and concepts; understanding of spatial data, projections, coordinate systems, and basic cartography.
✓Understanding of GIS data models and data structure (e.g., enterprise geodatabases, feature classes).
✓Comprehension of public works infrastructure (sewer, water, stormwater, and pavement)
✓Data maintenance using GIS software, particularly ArcGIS Pro.
✓Exposure to enterprise asset management (EAM) and GIS data integration.
✓Convert data between AutoCAD and common GIS formats.
✓Familiarity with ArcGIS Online/Enterprise and foundational knowledge of Enterprise Geodatabases (SDE)
✓Capability to assist with or conduct field data collection using survey grade GPS and tools like ArcGIS Field Maps
✓Ability to identify and troubleshoot data errors and inconsistencies.
✓Ability to design clear, effective, and professional maps.
✓Ability to work accurately and with strong attention to detail.
✓Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
✓Ability to gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data from engineering consultants.
✓Work is performed in a standard City office environment.
✓Safely lifts and carries computer equipment and other materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
