What you'll be responsible for:
- Deliver exceptional service to all Prairie Meadows guests and resolve guest, operational, and personnel issues within the Security Department.
- Provide operational leadership for backside racing security officers, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations across barns, dormitories, stable gates, and restricted areas.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, payroll, performance management, coaching, and corrective action for backside security personnel.
- Ensure strict adherence to racetrack policies, state racing commission regulations, and internal controls; maintain audit‑ready operations.
- Enforce credentialing, badging, and authorization protocols for horsemen, vendors, and staff.
- Work closely with racing officials, stewards, veterinarians, and regulatory agencies to support safe racing operations and respond to equine incidents and emergencies.
- Act as on‑scene supervisor for backside incidents including loose horses, medical emergencies, fire hazards, and rule violations; escalate to management when appropriate.
- Conduct routine inspections of barns, dormitories, and restricted areas to ensure safety, compliance, and proper living and working conditions.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and follow‑up in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years related experience and/or training. Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred. Experience in racetrack, agricultural, or animal-related environments is a plus Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable gaming license. Computer experience required (Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Word). . Strong knowledge of security operations, access control, and incident response . Ability to interpret and enforce racing regulations and organizational policies. Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. High level of integrity and professionalism in a regulated environment. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including trainers, jockeys, and staff. Strong observational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in report writing and basic computer systems. Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations. Frequent walking, standing, and outdoor patrols in varying weather condition Exposure to horses, barn environments, dust, and agricultural condition Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during racing season. Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies and physically intervene when necessary. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
