Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Property Tax, the Tax Analyst will be responsible for the coordination of property tax returns for the Company and its subsidiaries. The Tax Analyst will also provide support with tax research and planning.

The Tax Analyst will work with other members of the tax team and collaboratively with the accounting, business development, finance, asset management, and other functions to support the tax reporting and planning processes. 

This is a hybrid role located in our Scottsdale office. If you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications but see yourself contributing, please submit your resume.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve fixed asset data, inventory data, CIP data, PDR data, and other information necessary for support for property tax returns.
  • Retrieve notices of value and property tax bills
    • Save the tax bills in ShareFile and maintain the Payment Tracker
    • Compare rendered values with value notices and tax bills.
  • Submit tax payments timely in SRP/Fiori
    • Mail check payments with tax support via USPS Certified Mail
    • Work with Accounts Payable & Accounting to ensure Funded & Record Only payments are timely
    • Landowner reimbursement calculations.
  • Print and mail tax returns
    • Prepare Letters of Authorization or agency, and request signatures when needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a similar academic degree
  • Coursework in property valuation
  • Minimum 2 years of tax experience in property tax, including accounting, corporate, or government
  • Effectively handle and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships across the organization
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Professional Designation from one of the following organizations:
    • Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT)
    • Appraisal Institute
    • International Association of Assessing Officials
    • American Society of Appraisers
  • Renewable energy experience a plus.

Clearway will not sponsor non-immigrant visas for this position (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.

$77,000$86,000 USD
