Care Specialist at EPD District Office

As a district we are looking for a partner on our team that will catalyze development, pursue generous excellence, and lead proactively.

OVERVIEW:

As the Care Specialist, you’ll be focused on the emotional and spiritual care of official workers and spouses, retired workers, and chaplains. The Care Specialist is responsible to create and implement a strategy for our workers to care for one another in the various regions of our district. In this role, you will also serve as a voice for the development of women and their ministry giftings on the district team.

The Care Specialist is expected to be a highly relational and proactive worker; taking the initiative to connect with others while assessing the emotional and spiritual needs of our workers. You are expected to be collaborative in this process, working with the District team and key leaders, to develop a plan for how those needs can be met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, equip, and lead care networks for women by region, retired workers, and chaplains

• Recruit, train, and coach regional care facilitators for networks

• Collaborate with district team for care and development of women in our district; with focus on personal visits, district conference, and development cohorts

• Plan and lead care events for our retired workers and chaplains

• Care for district team through quarterly gatherings that include spouses

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Clear articulation of personal faith in Jesus and a resonance with the philosophy of ministry of the District (i.e. development for increasing Gospel impact, regional multiplication)

• Demonstrated personality that is highly relational and gifted in coaching others

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Relationally oriented with strong communication skills

• Ability to demonstrate organizational skills, take initiative, and work independently as well as collaboratively

• Experience in working with a highly effective and fast-moving organization

TEAM DYNAMICS:

• Directly reports to Executive Director

COMPENSATION:

• Part-time, hourly
