Cardinal McCloskey Community Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Sr. Administrative Director of Education to join our dedicated team. The Senior Administrative Director of Early Education is responsible for the administration and leadership of the Early Childhood Education Division (ECED) by developing and maintaining all necessary systems for successful program management.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the CMCS childcare programs according to our various funders' requirements.
- Decision making in conjunction with the Senior VP of ECED regarding program operations.
- Coordinate and ensure timely completion of the annual program self-assessment, community assessment, ECED strategic plan and service plans and other related program requirements.
- Provide guidance and leadership to staff to emphasize the importance of the program achieving high standards of quality, internally and through public and private sector partnerships.
- Monitor the implementation of the responsibilities of employees through observation, supervisory meetings, team meetings and review of files and documentation.
- Assure remediation of any non-compliance found in delegate or grantee assessment and incorporate recommendations into planning for the improvement of the program.
- Attend Policy Council meetings.
- Perform other duties as requests.
Essential skills, experience, licensure, certification:
- Master's degree in educational leadership, Public Health, Child Development, Business Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of successful executive level management with fiscal/budgeting, employee relations and experience in early childhood/head start education, program development, management and business processes with 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge and experience in philosophy and practices of Early Education, especially head start.
- Experience working with Federal, State and Local regulators and funders.
- Extensive experience in collaborating with parents in the education of their children.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently, strong organizational problem-solving skills.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications including word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook.
