We are seeking a highly skilled SCADA Auditing Specialist to support a comprehensive technical audit of pipeline infrastructure within the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating SCADA systems, industrial automation, communication networks, remote monitoring systems, and control infrastructure to ensure they comply with engineering standards, cybersecurity requirements, operational reliability, and regulatory expectations. The role requires extensive experience in pipeline automation, system integration, and real-time monitoring technologies.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Conduct technical audits of SCADA, industrial automation, and pipeline monitoring systems.
- →Assess SCADA architecture, control systems, communication networks, telemetry systems, and remote terminal units (RTUs).
- →Review PLC, HMI, DCS, and industrial control system configurations and performance.
- →Evaluate real-time monitoring capabilities, alarm management, historian systems, and data integrity.
- →Assess emergency shutdown (ESD) systems, control valves, remote isolation systems, and automated safety controls.
- →Review cybersecurity controls and network security measures protecting industrial control systems.
- →Verify compliance with project specifications, IEC, ISA, API, ISO, and other applicable standards.
- →Review engineering documentation, functional design specifications, network diagrams, loop drawings, and control philosophies.
- →Identify system vulnerabilities, operational risks, communication failures, and automation deficiencies.
- →Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Pipeline, and HSE audit teams throughout the assignment.
- →Prepare comprehensive audit reports, technical findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
- →Participate in site inspections, technical workshops, client meetings, and project review sessions.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in SCADA systems, industrial automation, instrumentation, or pipeline control systems.
- Proven experience working on Oil & Gas pipeline projects, terminal facilities, or industrial process plants.
- Demonstrated experience auditing SCADA systems, industrial communication networks, and automation infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, DCS, industrial communication protocols, and telemetry systems.
- Experience with pipeline monitoring systems, leak detection systems, emergency shutdown systems, and remote operations.
- Good understanding of industrial cybersecurity principles and control system network architecture.
- Familiarity with IEC, ISA, API, ISO, and Oil & Gas industry standards.
- Experience with EPC/EPCM projects is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SCADA software platforms, industrial networking tools, and technical reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
