POSITION SUMMARY

The Insider Threat Detection Analyst supports enterprise security operations by identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting potential insider threats, workplace violence concerns, security risks, and other activities that may negatively impact personnel, facilities, operations, information, or organizational assets.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor, identify, and assess potential insider threats, workplace violence concerns, security incidents, and suspicious activities that may impact personnel, facilities, operations, or organizational assets.
  • Conduct intelligence-driven investigations involving insider threat concerns, employee misconduct, workplace violence, unauthorized disclosures, and other sensitive security matters.
  • Analyze information from internal, commercial, government, and open-source intelligence sources to identify emerging threats and security risks.
  • Produce recurring intelligence products, threat assessments, analytical reports, and situational awareness updates for security stakeholders and leadership.
  • Investigate and evaluate indicators of concerning behavior, policy violations, fraud, theft, sabotage, espionage, or other insider threat activities.
  • Monitor criminal activity, protests, demonstrations, geopolitical developments, and other events that may present risks to personnel or operations.
  • Conduct background research and investigative reviews utilizing available investigative and intelligence databases.
  • Process and analyze threat-related reports, intelligence alerts, and other security information requiring assessment and response.
  • Prepare written reports, briefings, risk assessments, and recommendations to support threat mitigation and security decision-making.
  • Collaborate with security, investigations, human resources, legal, compliance, executive protection, crisis management, and operational teams to address identified threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Support incident response activities and provide analytical assistance during emerging security incidents.
  • Respond to high-priority intelligence requests and time-sensitive security matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive, proprietary, and personally identifiable information.
  • Participate in rotational on-call coverage and provide after-hours support as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Homeland Security, Psychology, Political Science, Security Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in intelligence analysis, insider threat, investigations, security operations, law enforcement, military intelligence, corporate security, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of threat monitoring platforms, investigative databases, case management systems, and intelligence analysis tools preferred.
  • Experience conducting investigations, threat assessments, intelligence analysis, or risk management activities.
  • Knowledge of insider threat programs, workplace violence prevention, threat assessment methodologies, and security risk management principles.
  • Experience collecting, evaluating, and analyzing information from multiple sources, including Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) platforms.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and threat indicators.
  • Experience preparing intelligence products, investigative reports, security assessments, and executive-level briefings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting security operations, corporate security programs, government agencies, critical infrastructure, or similarly regulated environments preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
