POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Security Incident and Insider Threat Risk Manager is responsible for overseeing insider threat, security incident, and risk management activities in support of organizational security objectives. This position leads the coordination of threat detection, incident response, risk mitigation, and program execution efforts while serving as the primary interface between operational teams, customer stakeholders, and corporate leadership. The Security Incident and Insider Threat Risk Manager ensures effective program performance, personnel management, reporting, and compliance with contractual and organizational requirements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day operations supporting insider threat, security incident response, and risk management activities.
  • Lead and supervise personnel responsible for threat detection, risk analysis, investigations, program support, and related security functions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders regarding insider threat and security incident management activities.
  • Establish priorities, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure successful execution of program objectives.
  • Support staffing, recruiting, onboarding, and personnel development efforts to ensure qualified staffing levels are maintained.
  • Monitor program performance and ensure services are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with program leadership, contracts, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, reporting, and resource management.
  • Assist in budget planning, cost estimation activities, resource forecasting, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver recurring reports, briefings, status updates, and performance metrics to leadership and customer representatives.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customer stakeholders and internal business partners.
  • Identify operational risks, security concerns, and program issues and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Ensure personnel receive appropriate supervision, guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Support incident response activities, threat mitigation efforts, and investigations involving insider threat, security incidents, and other security-related concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, contractual obligations, and applicable security regulations.
  • Support business growth initiatives, transition activities, and expansion of program capabilities as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Intelligence Studies, Security Management, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum six (6) years of experience supporting insider threat programs, security operations, risk management, investigations, intelligence analysis, or related security functions.
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience managing personnel, teams, projects, or operational activities.
  • Certified Counter-Insider Threat Professional (CCITP) or similar security, intelligence, or risk management certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting insider threat, workplace violence, enterprise risk management, security operations, investigations, or threat assessment programs.
  • Experience supporting federal government, intelligence community, Department of Defense, homeland security, or corporate insider threat programs.
  • Experience conducting insider threat investigations, behavioral threat assessments, or enterprise security risk assessments.
  • Experience developing insider threat policies, procedures, training programs, and risk management frameworks.Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Experience developing reports, analyses, metrics, presentations, and briefings for senior leadership and customer stakeholders.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and mitigating operational, security, and programmatic risks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and function effectively in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
