Position Overview
The Training Manager leads the development, implementation, and ongoing management of a comprehensive training program that ensures all Security Protective Officers (SPOs) across the contract are fully trained, certified, and qualified in accordance with contract requirements and applicable federal and state regulatory standards. This role serves as the central authority for training and compliance for both prime and subcontracted personnel across multiple sites, supports tactical training initiatives, and contributes to enterprise-wide training strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the contract lead, providing operational direction and supporting program accountability.

Develop, maintain, and implement the Contractor Training Plan to support contract compliance and operational readiness.

Create and maintain a master training calendar and an enterprise-wide system for tracking training completion, certifications, and renewal requirements.

Participate in quarterly Program Management Reviews with corporate leadership and other stakeholders, providing training updates and identifying priorities.

Maintain active oversight of program training, compliance, and certification, ensuring leadership remains informed and consulted on key developments, issues, and updates.

Perform heavy work requiring up to 200 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work in environments involving potential hazards, including moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, high heat, and chemical exposure.

May be required to be fitted for and/or wear a respirator.

Must be able to stand for extended periods, often without breaks, and may be required to climb stairs or ladders and walk on inclines and uneven terrain.
Curriculum & Certification Management
-
Develop training syllabi and maintain accurate, current instructional materials for required courses and certifications, including State of Texas armed security requirements, American Heart Association (AHA) courses, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) training.
Instructional Support & Delivery

Serve as a backup instructor across all training areas for which qualified, ensuring continuity of instruction.

Support site-specific training by ensuring Post Orders, alarm response procedures, and emergency drills are thoroughly documented and reinforced through monthly practice.
Compliance & Auditing

Conduct regular audits of training centers, individual training records, firearms inventory logs, course rosters, and sign-in sheets to verify accuracy, identify gaps, and support compliance.
Coordination with Corporate Academy & Vendors

Manage new-hire onboarding, certifications, firearms training, and monthly training schedules in coordination with the Corporate Academy and program stakeholders.

Coordinate with external vendors to organize and deliver specialized training programs, including ERT academies and TI simulator training.
Leadership & Administration

Lead the development of a cohesive training strategy that strengthens mission readiness, supports officer development, and promotes consistent performance across sites.

Prepare and submit purchase order requisitions for training-related purchases to support timely access to required materials, equipment, and services.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
At least 5 years of recent, relevant training experience within law enforcement, the military, or private security services.

Instructor certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, Firearms, Defensive Tactics, Baton, and OC Spray.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and training documentation systems.

Exceptional organizational, communication, and compliance auditing skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
