Electrical Inspector - Construction

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Inspector with a background in construction to ensure that electrical systems and components meet regulatory requirements and industry standards in construction projects. The ideal candidate will conduct inspections on both new and existing electrical installations, review construction plans, and perform tests to uphold safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in construction projects to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Review construction blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine necessary procedures for electrical installations.
• Test electrical systems for functionality, safety, and quality assurance.
• Identify any violations of regulations and recommend appropriate corrective actions to maintain compliance in construction projects.
• Maintain detailed documentation of inspection findings and keep accurate records of all inspections conducted.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate inspection results and coordinate necessary corrections.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to construction projects.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is a plus.
• Certification as a Licensed Electrician or Electrical Inspector.
• 6 years proven work experience as an Electrical Inspector with a background in construction.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations, particularly in the construction industry.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions based on regulations and best practices in construction settings.
