Entertainment Light Operator

Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain all lighting equipment for entertainment shows and events on board the ship

- Program and execute lighting cues for various performances, ensuring a high level of technical precision and creativity

- Collaborate with the entertainment team to create visually stunning and cohesive shows

- Troubleshoot any technical issues with lighting equipment and work with the technical team to resolve them

- Keep inventory of all lighting equipment and report any maintenance needs to the technical department

- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during performances and rehearsals

- Stay up-to-date with new lighting technology and techniques to continuously improve the quality of our shows

- Assist with other technical duties as needed, such as sound and video operation

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a light operator in a live entertainment setting

- Knowledge of lighting equipment, programming, and design

- Proficiency in lighting software such as GrandMA, ETC, or Avolites

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

- Experience working on a cruise ship or in a similar environment is a plus
