The AI & Automation Specialist will work directly with firm leadership to design, build, and expand AI-powered systems that streamline legal operations and eliminate repetitive work across the firm. From workflow automation and software integrations to AI-driven discovery processes, this role will serve as the firm's go-to technical expert, leading high-impact AI, automation, and technology initiatives that shape the firm's long-term technology strategy.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →AI Development & Automation: Build AI agents, AI-powered workflows, and automations that eliminate repetitive work and improve operational efficiency across the firm.
- →Discovery Operations & Automation: Download, upload, organize, and optimize large volumes of criminal discovery files while continuously identifying opportunities to improve and automate the discovery process.
- →AI Discovery Workflow: Build and maintain automated workflows for discovery processing, from download to legal memo preparation.
- →Workflow Integrations: Lead software integrations, API connectivity, and workflow automation projects using Zapier and other automation platforms.
- →Technology Projects: Support coding, API integrations, field mapping, troubleshooting, and technology implementation projects across the firm.
- →Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to simplify workflows and make attorneys' and staff members' jobs easier through technology.
- AI Expertise: Advanced experience building AI agents, prompt-driven workflows, and practical AI solutions using tools such as Claude, Perplexity, and other leading AI platforms.
- Automation Experience: Proficiency in workflow automation, API integrations, and software connectivity, including complex automation projects using Zapier or similar platforms.
- Technical Skills: Strong coding, API integration, troubleshooting, and system mapping abilities across multiple software platforms.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage large datasets and digital files, ensuring efficient organization and accessibility.
- Remote Work Readiness: Comfortable working remotely with a strong sense of ownership, the ability to execute with minimal supervision, and the flexibility to support the firm's preferred overnight workflows.
- US Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a contractor or employee supporting a U.S.-based organization, with demonstrated success working remotely and collaborating with U.S.-based teams.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable automation and integration solutions.
- High Autonomy: Work independently, developing solutions that have immediate and significant impact on firm operations.
- Direct Leadership Access: Collaborate directly with firm leadership while driving key AI, automation, and technology initiatives.
