You will support the Chicago & Texas market as a Business Manager, working in close partnership with the Managing Partner (OMP) and leaders to drive operational execution, practice coordination, and strategic initiatives. This role is a balance between project management, operational support, communications, and financial coordination — and is focused on keeping the markets running with consistency and discipline. You should be passionate about operations, people, and business strategy, and eager to grow in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
The Business Manager serves as an operational partner to the Market Leader — executing on the practice agenda, supporting leadership with day-to-day business needs, and building the connective tissue across teams and functions.
Practice Operations: Support the day-to-day operational needs of the Chicago & Texas markets. Own meeting logistics, agendas, and follow-through for recurring leadership cadences, and serve as a reliable point of contact across internal teams.
Strategic Initiative Support: Support the market in driving practice-level strategic initiatives from kickoff to completion — tracking owners, timelines, and dependencies, and flagging risks early.
Workforce Coordination: Partner with the FP&A, Staffing, and Recruiting to support headcount tracking and workforce planning for the markets. Help translate pipeline and staffing data into organized, actionable summaries for leadership.
Marketing & BD Coordination: Support the connective tissue between the Chicago & Texas markets and Marketing and BD — coordinating follow-through on market-specific initiatives and helping surface what leaders are seeing in the market.
FP&A Support: Partner with the FP&A team to support financial reporting and KPI tracking for the Chicago & Texas market. Help prepare materials that translate financial data into clear summaries for leadership review.
Firmwide Operations Support: Serve as a flexible operational resource beyond the Chicago & Texas markets — contributing to special projects, firm-wide initiatives, and supporting the broader Chief of Staff team as needed. This role is designed to grow with the organization and take on work that extends beyond any single market.
Business Operations: Support execution of the market operating model, including meeting cadences, agendas, follow-through, and day-to-day operational needs.
Strategic Initiative Coordination: Manage and tracking practice-level initiatives; maintain project plans, timelines, and status updates.
Communications: Draft and coordinate internal communications for the markets; partner with the firmwide Operations to ensure alignment with firm-wide strategy and messaging.
Financial Coordination: Support FP&A partnership by helping prepare financial summaries, tracking KPIs, and organizing reporting materials for leadership.
Workforce & Headcount Support: Maintain headcount tracking and workforce planning materials; coordinate across Staffing, Recruiting, and FP&A to keep data current and accessible.
