Elevate your engineering design career at Crozier! Our Guelph office has an opening for an Intermediate Engineering Technologist/Designer to join our land development team.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineering project teams to deliver high-quality design solutions for a wide variety of private infrastructure land development projects, including residential subdivisions, site plans, lot grading plans, storm and sanitary sewers, watermains, stormwater management systems and roads.

• Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and project managers in the preparation of drawing packages, design concepts, sketches and calculations.
• Utilize Civil 3D to design and produce functional, preliminary, and detailed design drawings for a wide variety of residential, commercial, and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Participate in projects involving 2D/3D drafting of civil engineering drawings.
• Use CAD software and techniques to prepare drawings in accordance with project CAD standards.
• Assist with redlines/revisions for in-progress and completed designs.
• Support with the analysis of design issues and determining appropriate solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current Provincial and Municipal engineering standards as well as requirements of other reviewing agencies such as Conservation Authorities and Niagara Escarpment Commission (NEC).
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, agencies, and sub-consultants to facilitate/expedite design completion.

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering from a Civil Engineering Technology program.
• Registered with or in the process of registering with Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) considered an asset.
• 3-5 years design experience, preferably in an engineering consulting environment.
• Demonstrated civil drafting and design experience in Civil 2D, Civil 3D and AutoCAD, as well as other business software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Well-developed knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Provincial and Municipal standards, and their application to specific projects.
• Self-motivated individual possessing strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines, track status and facilitate progress on multiple projects.
